Established in early 2012, HomeAlone strives to promote under appreciated music (placing a strong emphasis on music from the local Aberdeen area).
Since its creation, HomeAlone, has released two successful compilation albums and received press across a variety of different mediums.
website aims to showcase the talent that the world has to offer through
live music videos, sessions, remixes and DJ sets alongside a wide
variety of other media content.
Since beginning to DJ under
the HomeAlone brand in 2012, creator, Scott Anderson's career has elevated incredibly, having featured on the Kiss FM MixBlock twice, the Bauer 3 Radio Network
twice and BBC Radio 1XTRA.
He has also
supported acts such as Lily Allen (Music Hall, Aberdeen) and Drake (02 Arena,
London) and appeared at BBC Radio 1’s Academy in Glasgow as part of BBC
Introducing’s new artist showcase.
A HomeAlone set can include
music as diverse as Childish Gambino, Diana Ross, Franz Ferdinand, Chic and
Kanye West; R&B, hip-hop, pop, soul, disco, indie, anything and everything
that’s upbeat, HomeAlone strips away the pretentious veneer associated with DJ’ing
and brings it back to what it’s all about - getting people dancing.
He, alongside producer Vagrant Real Estate, run a monthly club night at Aberdeen's Cellar 35 - entitled "Scenario".
